A huge congratulations to all STPM 2025 students on your outstanding achievements! 👏

This year, Malaysia recorded its best-ever STPM performance, with 1,336 students achieving a perfect CGPA of 4.00—the highest number in history. What an incredible milestone! 🌟

Recently, the Prime Minister also reaffirmed that Form Six is a pre-university pathway, recognising its important role in preparing students for higher education.

But here’s a question…

How many STPM students know that their qualification may also open doors to universities in Germany? 🤔

Many Malaysians still assume that studying overseas is only for students with qualifications such as A-Levels, IB or other international pre-university programmes.

That is not always the case.

STPM is a rigorous and internationally recognised pre-university qualification, and many universities in Germany accept it for admission into Bachelor’s degree programmes, subject to the university’s entry requirements and the chosen field of study.

💡 What makes this particularly meaningful is that Form Six has long been one of Malaysia’s most accessible pre-university pathways.

Many talented students choose STPM because it offers an excellent academic education at an affordable cost. Yet, some may never explore overseas opportunities simply because they are unaware that such pathways exist.

Imagine working hard for two years, achieving excellent results, and never discovering that your qualification could take you to one of Europe’s leading education destinations.

🌍 Germany is home to world-renowned universities, a strong engineering and technology ecosystem, and public universities where most degree programmes do not charge tuition fees. Students still need to meet admission requirements, demonstrate language proficiency where required, obtain a visa, and budget for living expenses—but the opportunity is real.

As someone who has spent years helping Malaysian students understand international education pathways, I have learned one important lesson:

Sometimes the biggest barrier isn’t academic ability. It’s awareness.
