🇩🇪 Germany Diaries #4 | Looking Beyond Recruitment

One objective of my Germany visit this year was not simply to meet universities—but to experience them firsthand.

This week, I had the opportunity to visit Steinbeis University – Schools of Next Practices in Berlin.

Brochures and websites provide information, but nothing replaces walking through a campus, meeting the people behind the institution, and understanding its educational philosophy.

Several things impressed me during the visit:

✅ A modern, industry-oriented learning environment.

✅ A growing international student community, with students from India, Africa and Southeast Asia.

✅ Flexible Master’s programmes offered both online and on-campus.

✅ Practical support for international students, including accommodation assistance close to the university.

One interesting highlight was seeing the bust of Ferdinand von Steinbeis, whose philosophy of connecting education with industry continues to influence the university today. It reminded me that education creates the greatest impact when it prepares people for real-world challenges.

What excited me most, however, was not just the programmes—it was the possibilities.

As international education continues to evolve, I see increasing opportunities for working professionals, executives and even Malaysian institutions to collaborate with German universities through more flexible and industry-focused learning models.

At Abroad EduWorld, our role is not simply to provide secure placements for our students.

It is to identify credible partners, understand them firsthand, and create meaningful pathways that expand educational choices for Malaysians.

Every visit adds another perspective.

Every conversation opens another possibility.

More exciting developments ahead. Stay tuned.
