Rethinking Talent: Integrating Universities, TVET & Industry in Malaysia

Proud to be part of this important conversation.
I’ll be speaking at the 9th Malaysian Education and Learning Summit 2026, alongside distinguished leaders across academia and industry.

This year’s theme — “Talent as Economic Infrastructure for Malaysia’s AI and Digital Economy” — is especially timely.

Because the question is no longer just about education.
👉 It is about how we design a talent pipeline that remains relevant in the next 5–10 years.

In my session on:“Integrating Universities, TVET, and Industry into a Single Talent Market”
I hope to share perspectives on:
• Why traditional education pathways alone may no longer be enough
• The growing gap between qualifications and employability
• How global exposure and industry alignment can change outcomes
• And why we must start planning not just for the next step… but the next decade

From my recent engagements with students and parents, one thing is clear:
👉 Many are still planning based on today’s realities…while the world is already moving towards tomorrow.

Looking forward to contributing, learning, and exchanging ideas with fellow panelists.
